Freight must be added to each load and to each pallet unless you take your order while visiting our warehouse. ValueBros has established discounts with many freight companies to provide the lowest possible freight expense. The freight sums are commonly collected in advance in order to take advantage of the discounts.
When an "LTL" load is shipped, the freight company assigns a pro number to the shipment. Most freight carriers provide a tracking service and a 1-800 number. After 24 hours of shipping the load, the pro number can be used to locate the freight in transit.
PURCHASER agrees that any and all claims for shortage of merchandise shipped, shall be received by ValueBros no more than ten days following the date of shipment. ValueBros shall have no responsibility or liability for any such claims received after such ten-day period. It shall be the responsibility of PURCHASER to remove and verify the seal number placed on the trailer door of full load shipments and obtain the driver's signature certifying changes of the seal number, (if any). It shall be the responsibility of the buyer to resolve all freight problems and/or claims directly with the freight company. The appropriate authorities will govern all freight discrepancies, following standard procedures.
Note: After a shipment has been released to a carrier, the shipper has limited control over the shipment. It's in the hands of the carrier. Though most carriers are reliable, some will offer faster service than others. The shipper is not always at fault if a delivery is not on time.
Full load shipments are sealed. A seal is placed on the trailer door at the point of origin, to assure the receiver that the doors have not been opened and the load has not been tampered with. If the seal is not in tact, there is a possibility that the doors to the trailer were opened before the truck arrived at your location. This applies to full loads only.
